Architectural
Metal
Architectural
woven metals are considered to be a speciality product of The Cloth
Clinic. Stainless Steel, Copper, Phosphor Bronze, Brass and Nickel
are commission woven to technical aerospace specification and quality
guaranteed.
Many different
weights and gauges are available and a large selection of base metal
materials are held in stock. Metals incorporating patinated surfaces
and designs are created on-site to client specification. This method
of production ensures a unique product for each client. Decoration
is placed precisely where a client designates .... for instance,
if a simple trailing stripe is required on a central panel of a
screen system that is exactly what is created, if a pattern placement
is required in a particular scale and area ..... that is exactly
what is created.
What
is Woven Wirecloth?
Woven wire cloth consists of metal
wires crossing at right angles and so forming the openings or aperture
size. It is manufactured by weaving transverse weft wires into longitudinal
warp wires. The wires are so crimped during this process that a
firm connection results. By varying the arrangement of the transverse
wires, wire cloth with square openings or rectangular openings,
or so - called zero - openings is obtained.
A comprehensive range of standard
specifications in various materials including the world's finest
square mesh cloth of w/20/mm is available to order.
Wirecloth is available in the following
materials:-
Stainless Steel, Monel, Copper, Brass
and Phosphor Bronze.
Properties
- High tensile strength.
- Inherent rigidity.
- High resistance to abrasion.
- Goof formability
- Chemical and thermic resistance.
- Regular configuration of mesh openings.
- Smooth surface structure.
- Good cleanability.
- High reliability.
- Fire proof.
Designer
Wirecloth
This is an exciting
new range of patterned wirecloths aimed specifically at the architect
and specifier. Precision woven wirecloths are patterned by exclusive
patented processes involving Soundwaves and CO2
Photon Laser Beams. This new commodity offers enormous potential
for aesthetic exterior and interior design solutions.
The characteristics
of the cloth, dependent upon the configuration of the wire thickness
in relation to aperture size, are visually enhanced by the high
- tec processes applied to the surface of the cloth.
These speciality
cloths are available in a wide range of weights, materials and designs.
Commission designs
to client specification are also feasible.
What
is Patinated Metal
"Patinated
Metal" is the title of a collection of pure metal woven materials
which have been coloured and decorated with Soundwaves.
These materials retain their bright
metallic appearance and their inherent natural characteristics when
treated to a Soundwave process which completely changes the colouration
of the selected pieces of material.
The colouration of the materials is
completely governed by the molecular content of the materials. No
dyes, chemicals or wet treatments are employed in the colouration
of the materials within this collection. Effects are permanent and
patterns may be of random or geometric formats. Differing degrees
of colouration are obtainable via process saturation techniques
and may be either all - over spectrum colouration or patterned spectrum
colouration.
The materials are designed specifically
to compliment and/or contrast with the pure coloured and harder
edged elements within the " Metal Collection ".
All materials have been patterned
and coloured using a patented process evolved from Soundwaves.
The Patinated Metal Collection performs
particularly well under directional lighting when the spectrum range
of colourways respond to particular types of electrical products
to create speciality features.
There are an enormous number of colourways
and patterning options available to clients. Designs may be ordered
from a stock range, or, a commission service to client specification
is available.
Materials for patination include
:
Copper, Brass, Stainless Steel and Phosphor Bronze.
