What is Heavy Metal?
Heavy Metal is the title of three complimentary
collections of architectural quality metal : the Coil, Wedge and
Cord Collections.
Introduced specifically for exterior applications these metal materials
are heavyweight and robust, capable of withstanding the most rigorous
weather conditions, fire regulations and public safety specifications.
The materials themselves exhibit exciting, sharp-edged, design
qualities and characteristics with which alternative, professionally
challenging design concepts may be explored and realised.
The Coil Collection.
Constructed from coiled round wire this versatile metal material
may be produced from brass, galvanised, mild steel and stainless
steel wire.
Both tight and loose configurations are feasible with visual design
aesthetics and performance characteristics relying upon the selection
of wire diameter and the number of spiral turns per length of wire.
* Made to order.
The Wedge Collection.
A heavy robust metal product created from looped and pressed round
wire which is arranged in regular striped formats and secured together
using a threaded cross rod system of assembly.
It is feasible to create this product in both flat and curved panel
sections. Available in stainless steel only.
* Made to order.
The Cord Collection.
A close metal material with a smooth flat surface which exhibits
extreme tensile strength in one direction and a contrasting curvilinear
characteristic in the opposing direction.
This is a heavy, robust material with a pronounced herringbone
surface configuration. Available in mild steel and stainless steel
in width up to 2 metres wide (79").
* Made to order.
